Two castles, one experience: Schloss Hof & Schloss Niederweiden

Discover the fascinating world of Baroque during a visit to Hof Palace and Niederweiden Palace - two historical jewels that together form a unique cultural experience. Once the country residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy, Hof Palace was extended under Maria Theresa to become the largest Baroque palace complex in Austria. Together with the nearby Niederweiden Palace, an impressive journey through history, garden art and courtly life awaits you.

What awaits you:

Hof Palace

Stroll through the sumptuously furnished rooms of the palace, where classicist and baroque interiors meet. Experience the imperial atmosphere and immerse yourself in the history of the Habsburgs.

Baroque garden

The garden, laid out on seven terraces, delights with its ornate floral patterns, fountains and arcades - a perfect place to stroll and enjoy. The seventh garden terrace is the crowning glory of this baroque garden landscape.

Estate & themed gardens

A place to discover for young and old: explore lovingly designed themed gardens, get to know rare breeds of domestic animals and visit the exhibition “Showcase Europe: The Banat” in the Bäckenhof.

Niederweiden Castle

Just a few minutes away is the charming Niederweiden Castle, which will take you back in time with its baroque architecture, changing exhibitions and the imperial hunting pavilion. Together with Hof Castle, it forms a perfectly coordinated cultural and natural experience.

Christmas market at Hof Palace

During Advent, Schloss Hof is transformed into a pre-Christmas fairytale land. A lovingly designed Christmas market, culinary delights and atmospheric music create a festive mood for the whole family.
