Chagall at the ALBERTINA: A feast for art fans
Marc Chagall is one of the most important artists of the 20th century with his unique art, which spans from 1905 to the 1980s. From September 28, the ALBERTINA Museum will be a meeting place for art fans, offering an insight into Chagall's fascinating visual worlds. Here you will find poetic paintings between tradition and avant-garde and can be inspired by Chagall's continuity and his own visual language. Viennale 2024: the largest film festival in Austria
It is one of our annual highlights: The Viennale is one of the top events in Vienna in October and shows cinematic highlights from all over the world from October 17 to 29. The screenings take place in various cinemas in Vienna and the program ranges from Austrian film history to the portrayal of the Japanese colonial era in Korean cinemas. There will also be a retrospective of the filmmaker Robert Kramer at the Film Museum. The Kunsthistorisches Museum (KHM) turns Vienna into a cultural highlight in October. From October 8, you will find a comprehensive collection of Rembrandt's paintings and drawings and learn all about Dutch Baroque painting. The exhibition Rembrandt - Hoogstraten: Color and Illusion tells the story of how Rembrandt's painting left an impression on his pupil Hoogstraten and presents the interplay between master and pupil in a unique way. Never before has there been such a wealth of international loans in Austria and you can immerse yourself in the world of artistic innovation and the beauty of Rembrandt's works. On October 5 from 6 p.m. to midnight, all night owls and art fans will have the opportunity to visit a variety of museums with just one ticket for 17 euros. Wiener Wiesn: Servus at the Kaiser Wiesn
Let's go to the Viennese version of the Oktoberfest: the Wiener Wiesn invites you again this year from 26 September to 13 October with a varied program.
