Viennale 2024: the largest film festival in Austria

The screenings take place in various cinemas in Vienna and the program ranges from Austrian film history to the portrayal of the Japanese colonial era in Korean cinemas. Rembrandt at the Kunsthistorisches Museum: color and illusion

The Kunsthistorisches Museum (KHM) turns Vienna into a cultural highlight in October. From October 8, you will find a comprehensive collection of Rembrandt's paintings and drawings and learn all about Dutch Baroque painting. The exhibition Rembrandt - Hoogstraten: Color and Illusion tells the story of how Rembrandt's painting left an impression on his pupil Hoogstraten and presents the interplay between master and pupil in a unique way. Never before has there been such a wealth of international loans in Austria and you can immerse yourself in the world of artistic innovation and the beauty of Rembrandt's works. Vienna Whisky Festival: whisky tasting and masterclasses

We have been eagerly awaiting this: The Long Night of Museums is coming to Vienna again. On October 5 from 6 p.m. to midnight, all night owls and art fans will have the opportunity to visit a variety of museums with just one ticket for 17 euros. Wiener Wiesn: Servus at the Kaiser Wiesn

Let's go to the Viennese version of the Oktoberfest: the Wiener Wiesn invites you again this year from 26 September to 13 October with a varied program. On the Kaiser Wiesn festival grounds in the Prater, you can enjoy culinary delights, a variety of live acts, various beer brewery tents and traditional bars. Crime night at the Viennese coffee house: pure suspense

Thriller fans take note: At the end of October, Vienna will be the stage for exciting readings in the city's best cafés. On October 29, the Crime Night will once again take place, with readings taking place in more than 30 coffee houses, with free admission.
